James R. âJimmyâ Cole, 85 of Logan, WV went to his heavenly home Monday July 16, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 16, 1933 at Argyle, WV to the late Charlie and Callie Cole. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: his brother, âBuckâ Cole; and sisters, Irene, Ruby, Ethel, and Geneva.
Jimmy was known for his Christian faith and had a close relationship with God. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a very respected man. He belonged to Harvest Gospel Church at Chapmanville, WV, and often attended Orville Holiness Church at Rum Creek, WV. He loved all his brothers and sisters in Christ and looked forward to meeting up with the one who went before him. Although he will be missed and remembered by everyone who he met, he is happy to be home.
He is survived by: his wife and best friend, Delores âMamawâ Cole, who he loved and was faithful to for 65 years; four sons, David (Tina), Randy, Timothy, and Greg (Lou) Cole; daughter, Crystal (Jack) Hatfield; one sister; 7 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; 2 grandchildren who he has a special and unbreakable bond with, Sarah and Logan Cole.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday July 21, 2018 at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV with Treaby Scaggs and Robert Hawkins officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
