James Clifton Hutchinson, 82, of Godby Heights, departed this life after a short illness, Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville, surrounded by his family.
Jim was born June 28, 1936 to the late Stokel and Florence Duty Hutchinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Brenda Hutchinson, Clara Roberts and a brother, Quincy Hutchinson.
Jim was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner of The Printers and together with his wife, Linda, provided local printing needs for over 30 years before becoming an instructor of Graphic Communication at the Ralph R. Willis Vocational Center, where he spent more than 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Quillin Hutchinson, 2 daughters, Jami (Buddy) Chapman of Chapmanville, Jada (Kevin) Tate of Scott Depot and a son, Chris (Jody) Farmer of Nitro, grandchildren, Hannah Chapman, Ethan Chapman, Bryson Tate, Meredith Tate, Kambria Farmer, Kourtnie Farmer and Kali Frame along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other in-laws and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Jerry âBuddyâ Chapman officiating.
