James F. Justice, 75 of Logan, formerly of Delbarton, WV departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Trinity Healthcare Services with his brother and sisters by his side.
He was born March 8, 1944 the son of the late Wilburn A. Justice and the late Freda J. Justice.
He was retired and the former owner and operator of James Justice Trucking Company. A former president of the Mingo County Kiwanis Club and a former firefighter with the Delbarton Volunteer Fire Department. After retirement he worked at the former B.J.âs of Logan, meeting new friends along the way.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Beaulah Justice, stepson, Jimmy Dempsey, stepdaughter, Susan Senator, step-granddaughter, Rhonda Bowers, niece, Erica D. Carper, great-nephew, Devin T. Carper, sister-in-law, Trulaby Dempsey, and several other family members.
James enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing karaoke, and WVU football. Most of all he enjoyed going to horse shows with his brother-in-law Roger and nephew Brandon. He was their biggest fan. He was saved and baptized on September 28, 2017.
He is survived by his brother, Jack (Lynne) Justice of Proctorville, OH; sisters, Joann (Roger) Adkins of Verdunville, WV, and Karen (Danny) Carper of Logan, WV; nephew, Brandon (Brittany) Adkins of Verdunville, WV; nieces, Jordan Carper of Logan, and Whitney Justice (Marc Moore); nephews, Mark Justice and Todd Justice; great-nieces, Braylie Adkins, Avery Adkins, and Hailey Carper; stepsons, Ronnie (Dreama) Dempsey, and Dale (Rita) Dempsey of Delbarton; step-grandson, Archie Lambert; several step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Also, the family would like to recognize his good friends, Irvin Creakman and John Payne for always being there for James and helping him anyway they could. The Administration and nursing staff of Trinity Healthcare services of Logan for their excellent care and friendship, especially April Estepp, Amanda Cooper, Rachel Gunther, Kelly Nelson, Kelly E., Kristi, Trina, Meagan, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Kaci, Coleman, Steve, Terry, Lilly, Elsa, Druscilla, Gale, Debbie, and the entire east wing nursing staff. He thought the world of each and every one of you. You all became his family too.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Barney Goins and Elbert Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Justice Cemetery at Justice Addition. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019 also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Akers-James Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
