James âBudâ Walls, 84 of West Logan went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence.
He was born November 2, 1936 at Stollings, WV to the late Walter E. and Augie (Lucas) Walls. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Irene K. Farley Issak, and Ruby J. Walls Kuhn, and his niece, Donna Farley.
Bud was a member of the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir, participated in church plays, and held a fish fry every November for 9-10 years. He loved his pastor and his church family. Bud was a Veteran of the US Army. He was the self-proclaimed âGreatest Fishermanâ. He was a member of the fishing club at AEP where he was employed. Bud was also a Boy scout Leader and a member of the Logan Whirlaway Square dancer Club.
He is survived by his wife, Donetta (Messer) Walls; daughter, Angela Walls (Tony) Wagoner; grandchildren, Aaron R. Wagoner, and Seth (Adrienne) Wagoner; great-grandson, Anthony J. Wagoner; and he is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens with Pastor Bob Morris officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church.

Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic the family asks that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing. Also, the family would like everyone to know that due to the circumstances they are aware that some may not be comfortable attending the services, but anyone is welcome if they choose to do so.
