Jamie Lynn Roeher, 38, of Holden, WV was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family after a 3-year courageous battle against breast cancer.
Jamie was a 2001 graduate of Logan High School where she excelled as a softball player, and she previously worked at Medi Home Care in Mt. Gay, WV. She was a member of the Yuma Church of Christ.
Jamieâs greatest joy in her life was being a mom to her three children, Cameron, Trey, and Riley Brown. Jamie could always be found in the bleachers or on the sidelines when her children were participating in basketball, baseball, and cheer. Often times, Jamie could be heard over the sound of the crowd cheering on her children, and sometimes, getting mad at a referee for a bad call. Jamie brought joy to everyone who knew her. Jamie had a smile that could light up the whole world and a laugh that was contagious. Jamie enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge, re-watching her favorite movies again and again, but, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her children, Jamie is survived by her beloved parents, Pam and Gary Roeher; grandparents, Cliff and Jan Collins and Gary Roeher, Sr.; brother, Brad (Katie) Roeher, aunts Stephanie (Dale) Farris and Teresa (Jackson) Blevins; uncles Richard (Michelle) Collins and Steven (Alecia) Collins; her special cousin who was more like her sister, Sarah Gilks; cousins, Jared (Summer) Farris, Nichole (Jonathon) Murray, and Ricky (Megan) Collins, and John Brandon (Megan) Vance; and Jamieâs beloved pets, Harper, Jersey, and Gabby Roeher.
Jamie was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Juanita Roeher.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Cabell Huntington Hospital Cancer Center team for all of their help over the years, especially Drs. Jamil and Mitchell, and for all of those who prayed for Jamie so diligently over the last few years and helped the family in countless ways. Additionally, Jamie could not have made it without the loving support of her special caretakers, her mom, her aunt, Steph, and her cousin, Sarah.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 25th at Akers-James Funeral Home in West Logan from 11:00am â 1:00pm, with the service immediately following at 1:00pm. Reverend Randy Skeens will be officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Chapmanville.
Pallbearers are Cameron and Trey Brown, Brad Roeher, Scott Brown, Jared Farris, Hunter Mileto, and Melvin Mayhew.
