Janet Kay Branham

Janet Kay (Johnson) Branham, 72 of Pecks Mill passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was born November 19, 1950, at Rum Creek to the late Glen Edward and Erma "Fat" (White) Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Bessie May "Betsy" Cooper, and Wanda Fay (Johnson) Branham, brother-in-law, Joe Cooper, and her ex-husband and father of her children, Steve B. Branham.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Steve B. (Michelle) Branham Jr. of Bruno, and Brian Ray Branham of Pecks Mill; brother, Edgar Lee (Sandra) Johnson of Taplin; nephews, Daniel (Lori) Johnson, Phillip (Leean) Branham, and Gary Branham Jr.; nieces, Krystal Jo (James) Cooper, and Kimberly Branham Evans; grandchildren, Zachary (Madyson) Robinson, and Kelsey (Ben) May; great-grandchildren, Nash, Everleigh, Judah, and Knox; great-niece, Kayleigh (James) Carter; great-great-nieces, Jayleigh, and Clarissa; great-great-nephews, Kolson, Johnathan, Peyton, and Braxton; a very special aunt, Verda May Manns, and her lifelong friend/sister, Christine Brunty Branham.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Godby Family Cemetery at Chapmanville, Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.
