Janet Louise Tabor Canterbury

Janet Louise (Tabor) Canterbury departed this life Wednesday April 10, 2019 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House at Huntington, WV. She was born March 11, 1939 in Henlawson, WV. She was the daughter of Brookie (Blevins) Tabor and Floyd Tabor. She graduated from Logan Sr. High School. She was a past long time member of the Henlawson Church of Christ. She worked for Mel's Produce for many years, Star Market No.2 for many years and Chevron of Justice Addition. And dearly loved going to "Pickin in the Park". She was a current member of the Church of Christ of Main Street in Hurricane WV where she has resided the past nine years. Survivors include one daughter Sonya Canterbury Nunnery (Alex) and one grandson Kyle Nunnery whom she lived with. One sister Blanche (Joe) Jarrell of North Ridgeville. Ohio. One brother Hollis (Francis) Tabor of Brunswick Ohio. She is preceded in death by both her parents and one sister Faye Tabor. She leaves behind many friends and family members who will cherish her always. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday April 13, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Richard Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
