Janet Carol McCloud

Janet Carol McCloud (79) of Justice Addition passed away on March 29, 2022, at Trinity Healthcare Services, Henlawson, WV. The daughter of Grady and Mebel McCloud, she was born on June 25, 1942, in Logan, WV.  A graduate of Logan High School, Janet enjoyed an extended career managing the State of West Virginia Logan Unemployment Compensation Office where she made many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Naaman Keith McCloud.  

She is survived by her daughter Carol (Charles) Brinegar, granddaughter Brooklyn Brinegar and grandson Braxton Brinegar, all of Lexington, KY.  In addition to extended family members and friends that she loved dearly, Janet is also survived by her niece, Melody Plumley whom she considered a daughter, “nephew” Chad Plumley, “grandchildren” Maizie and Sage Plumley, all of Huntington, WV.

Family would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to the dedicated staff of Trinity Healthcare for their love and support given to Janet and her daughter during her stay and during this difficult time. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Akers-James Funeral Home. Friends may call on Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 11a-1p at Akers-James Funeral Home.  Burial to follow at Chambers Family Cemetery (Mill Creek, WV).
