Jason Lee Prichard, AKA, J.P., 34 of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Logan, WV departed this life September 22, 2020 after a sudden illness.
He was born June 4, 1986 at Logan to Rev. Ricky and Bonnie (Mills) Prichard. J.P. was preceded in death by his grandparents, Conrad and Eloise (Eplin) Prichard, Archie and Virginia (Smith) Mills; aunt and uncle, Lloyd and Linda (Mills) Webb; 3 uncles, Johnny Prichard, Roger Mills, and Keith Mills.
J.P. was a 2004 graduate of Logan High School where he played in the band. He worked in fiber optics. J.P. enjoyed his life to the fullest, playing basketball, softball, frisbee, and countless other games with his friends. J.P. left a smile wherever he went. He loved traveling for his job and was a collector of comic books, figurines, and anything Green Lantern. He had white t-shirt and basketball shorts days that were called âAwesome J.P. Daysâ.
In addition to his parents he is also survived by his sister, Kristy Prichard (Shannon Farley); nephew, Zackary Steele; niece, Hailey Collins; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind very special friends that loved him like a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Starr officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2020, also at the funeral home.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governorâs guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the building. Face coverings are also required when inside the building and social distancing should be taken into consideration.
