Jaxson Colt Butcher, 2 ½ of Whitman went home to be in the arms of Jesus February 13, 2024, at UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA surrounded by tons of love from his mommy and daddy.
He was born May 27, 2021, in Huntington, WV to Jody and Samantha (Curry) Butcher. Jaxson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jody Butcher; great-grandma, Linda Curry; great-grandfather, Robert “Bob” Meade; great-great-grandparents, Harold Lee & Mary Alice Evans, and Franklin Dee & Jewell Butcher.
Jaxson loved going to church. He loved the singing and going to the altar with Papaw Mark for family prayer. Jaxson always had a smile on his face and lived his 2 ½ years of life to the fullest. He loved riding four wheelers, riding the tractor with Papaw, swimming with his mommy and Aunt Steph, and so many other things. He had no fear of anything. He was an absolute angel on earth, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. He came into our family at a time of sadness, mending our broken hearts with his charismatic blue eyes and magnetic personality.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jody & Samantha (Curry) Butcher; paternal grandma, Paula Butcher; maternal grandparents, Mark & Lori Curry; aunts, Ashley Butcher & Stephanie Curry; great-grandma, Viola Meade; great-grandpa, Roger Curry; cousins, Ranger & Raiden Crum; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Central United Baptist Church. Funeral services and burial will be private for immediate family only.
Pallbears will be his dad, Jody Butcher; grandpa, Mark Curry; uncle, Frank Butcher; and uncle, Joe Kitchen.
