Joe C. Ferrell

Joe C. Ferrell passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side January 3, 2021. He was born May 10, 1947 to the late Joe D. and Gladys Ferrell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved brother, Michael Ray Ferrell. Joe C. was a well-known businessman in Logan County having been involved in various businesses in his lifetime. The latest was as owner and operator of Southern Amusement Company for the last 26 years. He was proud to serve as a member of the West Virginia Legislature from 1982-2002. Joe was also instrumental in helping to develop plans for the Logan County Airport. Joe’s love and generosity was extended to many friends and family along his life’ journey. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Vicki L. Ferrell; daughters Cyndi Perkins of Hickory, NC, Mitzi Jo Brammer of Charleston, WV, and Jodi Michelle Ferrell of Chapmanville, WV; five grandchildren, Quisha Danielle, Waliyah, and Nicholas Perkins of Hickory, NC, Josef Drew and Heidi Dylan Brammer of Charleston, WV. Funeral services will be private for family. A graveside service for the public will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens with Rev. Jay Nunley officiating.
