John Henry Mounts

John H. Mounts Jr., also known as JB or John Boy, a loving brother, son, uncle and friend passed away Wednesday March 20, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan. He was 61 years old. John worked at Logan Manufacturing for 25 years and BJ’s of Logan for several years after. John attended Marshall University, he was 2-time little league all-star, he played high school baseball, and continued to play in softball leagues well into adulthood. John was an avid bowler who was also recognized for bowling 2 perfect games. John is survived by his sister and brothers and their families: Jerry and Deborah Mounts of Logan, Pam and Larry Szucs of Logan and Ted and Kristin Mounts of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Amy Browning, Morgan Mounts, Trevor Mounts and Madison Mounts and Great Nephews: Brandon Browning and BJ Browning. John is preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Lois Mounts. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday March 23, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan with Deacon Bill Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
