John Bolivar White 71 of Crooked Creek passed away Sunday June 21, 2009 at Trinity Healthcare Services at Henlawson. He was born May 22, 1938 at Crooked Creek. He was the son of Myrtle White of Crooked Creek and the late Harry White. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by his grandparentsEdward and Lena Avis, Edmond and Birdie White and nephew Richard White, Jr. He attended the Crooked Creek Church of Christ and was a believer in Christ. In addition to his Mother survivors include a brother Richard (Janet) W. White of Crooked Creek, sister Brenda (Carl) S. Beechner of East Rochester, New York, Neices Catherine White of Crooked Creek, Margery (Joe) Cross of Elizabethtown, Ky., Natalie (Chris) Grubb of Thomasville, N.C. and Tracey Beechner of Madison, Wisconsin, Nephews David Browne of Rochester, New York and Jason Beechner of Downingtown, Pa., Great Neices Megan Cross, Erin Hager and Abigail Cross, Great Nephews Ryan Grubb, Adam Cross, Wesley Farmer, Roger Farmer, Jr., L.J. Cross, Zachary Farmer and many more extended family members. Johnny had many friends in so many different walks of life and loved them all and they him. He enjoyed bowling and excelled at it. Johnny was the paper boy for the Logan Banner delivering for West Logan, Peach Creek and Crooked Creek for 14 years. During the time he was delivering papers he also worked for the Lilly's Grocery Store in West Logan and also the Mathis Motel until he received a job working for the Guyan Machinery at Phico. He was so proud to have had these positions and his family will always be so proud of him in all ways. The family wishes to thank the Doctors, Nurses and the Aids at the Trinity Healthcare for the love and respect that they gave Johnny. He loved his home there as well as his home on Crooked Creek. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday June 25, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at the Crooked Creek Church of Christ with Minister Tim Secrist officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday June 24, 2009 at James Funeral Home and 1 hour prior at the church.
