Juanita “YaYa” Vance

Juanita “YaYa” Louise Vance, 72, of Chauncey WV, departed this life on September 17, 2023, at Logan Regional Medical Center. 

She was born on September 19, 1950, to the late Clyde and Margaret Brewer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Everette Vance; sister, Katherine Crum; and brother Darrell Brewer.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Jerry) Morgan; son, Lee (Amy) Vance; and daughter, Shawn (Timmy) Sipple; Grandchildren, Chris (Randalyn) Robertson, Phillip (McKinzii) Poe, Lauren (Chris) Duncan, Cheyenne Morgan, Nick (Danielle) Hoff, and Marki Lester; Great-Grandchildren, Easton, Tinley, Aubree, Jaxtyn, Everly, Oaklee, Raegan, McKenna and Cash; a special cousin and confidant, Sharon McMillen, and a special friend and third daughter, Cindy Damron.

Juanita was “YaYa” to everyone who knew her. She touched so many lives and always made everyone feel at home by having a fresh pot of coffee ready. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Honoring her wishes, her remains will be cremated. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Alvis Porter Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
