Katie Bryant

Katie Bryant 58 of City View passed away Saturday July 12, 2008 at her residence. She was born December 7, 1949 at Avis Acres at Verdunville. She was the daughter of Dave Messer of Dingess and the late Evelyne Hensley Messer. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Charles Bryant and her Brother: Stevie Michael Bryant. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her children Leslie (Tracie) Bryant of City View, David Bryant and Vicky Bryant both of City View, Anthony (Kerri) Bryant of Peach Creek and Steven (Marita) Bryant of McConnell, Two Brothers: James (Mary) Messer of Peach Creek and Oscar Hensley of Dingess, Two Sisters: Sadie Browning of Ethel and Jewell (Richard) Vance of Painesville, Ohio, 10 Grandchildren: J.D., Nicole, Shane, Lil Ricky, Danielle, Brandon, Jordan, Maggie, Kristin and Makita. She was also a member of the Bryant Family consisting of: Brother-in-laws: Lester Bryant, Mathew Bryant, Eugene (Linda) Bryant and Howard (Ellen) Bryant, Three Sister-in-laws: Mary Midkiff, Flora (Howard) Booth and Oma (Boyd) Baisden. Katie was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and loved her family very much. She will be sadly missed by all. She also has a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday July 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at the Avis Cemetery at Dingess. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday July 15, 2008 at James Funeral Home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
