Kermit Donald Wooten Jr., 64, of Logan passed away Wednesday December 11, 2024 after fighting the long term effects of dementia at Logan Regional.
Born October 31, 1960 in Cleveland, OH to the late Kermit Sr and Lawanda Wooten.
He was a devoted coal miner for over half of his life, and was an incredibly hard worker and supporter for his family. He was a loving daddy and papaw. Kermit loved to travel and spend time outdoors. He liked to fish, bird watch, and when at home, watch western movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Judith Wooten.
Survivors include his siblings Vickie (Jimmy) Mullins, and Bruce (Phyllis) Wooten, his son Kermit Donald (Rebecca) Wooten III, and two daughters Chrissy Dawn Wooten and Alexandra Donn Raven (Robert Bruce) Varney.
He also had two step sons Shaun (Mary) Clay and Josh (Tiffany) Clay as well as a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Per his favorite Christmas movie 'It's a Wonderful Life,' : "Everytime a bell rings, an angel gets his wings."
Honoring his wishes his remains will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 pm Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Monahill FWB Church with Rev. Joey Vance officiating.
