Kyle âBobâ Horne, 63 of Whitman, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born February 18, 1951 in Holden, he was the son of Herman E. Horne and Edith Horne. He was preceded in death by his father.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Edith Horne of Whitman; daughters: Luann Horne (Eric) Likens of Hewett and Nicole Horne (Brandon) Tomblin of Holden; five grandchildren: Erica, Makella, Hunter, and Hayvn Likens, all of Holden and Brayden Tomblin of Holden; and a host of other dear family and friends.
He graduated from East Lake High in Cleveland, OH in 1972. He worked for Piston Coal Company as a welder until becoming disabled and he had a heart driven passion for riding his motorcycle.
Bob was a kind hearted person that had a sense of humor like no other. The love he carried for his family and friends was beyond measure. Riding his motorcycle gave him peace and with every mile driven he felt free from the world.
Very special people in his life were, as he called them, "his Brothers": Jack and Wife Margaret Harless and Lee Miller; the "Sons he never had", Kelly "Tanker" Edger & Ronnie Adams; and extremely close friends Eddie Keefer, Daryll Matters, Rick Toler, & Dave Yoakum along with many more to be named.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the 14 Whitman Freewill Baptist Church in Whitman. A graveside service will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be Eric Likens, Brandon Tomblin, Sonny Adams, Eddie Keefer, Kelly âTankerâ Edger, Ronnie Adams, Jack Harless, and Lee Miller. Friends may gather at the church on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 6-9 p.m.
The family is requesting that everyone who rode motorcycles with him to come and take one final ride with Jack Harless and Lee Miller leading.
