Lawrence Wade Nelson 62 of Dingess passed away Sunday September 20, 2009 at the Logan Center at 3 Mile Curve. He was born November 15, 1946 at Kirk, a son of the late Norma Ooten. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents George (Dad) and Rhoda Browning Nelson. Lawrence Wade was a retired heavy equipment operator from Hobet Mining and a member of the UMWA. Survivors include ten siblings, Danny (Doris) Meade and Norma (Timmy) Deskins of Chapmanville, Sue (Terry) Baisden of Kermit, Rick (Shelia) Meade of Verdunville, Tom (Tammy) Farley of Max Meadows, Virginia, Donna Rose (Dan) Hamrick of Summersville, Toby (Charlotte) Meade, Buck (Shannon) Meade, James (Susie) Meade and John Meade all of Dingess as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will conducted Wednesday September 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Cemetery at Dingess. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday September 22, 2009 at James Funeral Home. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
