Leslie Vannatter

Leslie J. Vannatter, 74 of Chapmanville passed away June 12, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1945 to the late Charles and Loucinda Vannatter. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his 11 siblings. Les is survived by his wife, Martha Vannatter; four sons, Leslie (Amanda) Vannatter Jr. of Ohio, Shaun (Tarsa) Podunavac of Hinesville, GA, Joe (Amanda) Podunavac of South Korea, and Mark Podunavac of Logan; three daughters, Tina (Tracy) Brletich of Ohio, Kelli (Joey) Browning of Verdunville, and Judy (Leonard) Hamilton of Riffe Branch; 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; special friends, Jackie Tomblin, Alice Cheek, and Eugene Mazzocchi. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the VA Hospital in Huntington and Kindred at home for taking great care of Les throughout the years. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday June 15, 2019 at Akers-James Funeral Home at Logan with Rev. Gary Hunt officiating. Per his request his remains are to be cremated following the services. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
