Linda Ellis

Linda Ellis 72 of West Logan went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 16, 2010 at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston. Born January 10, 1938 in Rutland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Sally Kitchen Taylor. Also preceding her in death were two brothers John and Jimmy Taylor. Linda was a homemaker and a member of the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She always looked forward to meeting with her Tuesday night Quilting friends. Linda loved to be around people and never met a stranger. During her last days she developed a relationship with the nurses at CAMC 5th floor south that she cherished dearly. Those left to cherish her memory include Scott Ellis her husband of 51 years, one son Scottie (Kim) Ellis of Mitchell Heights, two daughters Sherri (Todd) McDonald of West Logan and Terri (Kelly) Underwood of Madison, one sister Doris Jean Sobleskie of Akron, Ohio, 7 grandchildren Michael, Taylor, and Kelsea Ellis, Nicholas and Ashton McDonald and Kaleigh and Kaden Underwood. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday October 20, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Morris and Rev. John Godby officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers will be Mike Stone, Scott Stone, Darren Akers, Steve Browning, Joe Gray, Pete Spurlock and Mike Whitman. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
