Lois Elizabeth Dingess, 68, beloved wife of David Gene Dingess, of Upper Crawley Creek Road, Chapmanville, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 22, at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, after suffering a brief illness. Born July 23, 1938, in Verner, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Sherman Leander and Rosie Doyle Wallace of the North Fork of Big Creek, Boone County, WV. A homemaker and mother of three, she, like her husband, enjoyed hunting, camping the mountains and valleys, and fishing the lakes, rivers, and streams of West Virginia. Mrs. Dingess and her family have been members in good standing of the 5&6 Holden Freewill Baptist Church for a great many years. She was preceded in death by her brothers James Cardell Wallace, Leander Frank Wallace, and Charles Billy Wallace, her sisters Jessie Mae Mathis, Edna Mamie Linville, and Geneva Alline Tackett and is survived by her husband David Gene, their daughter and her husband, Deborah Lynn and Randall T. Brumfield of Weaver Street, Holden, WV; their sons Joel Richard Dingess of Upper Crawley Creek Road, Chapmanville, and Tracy Neal Dingess of Morgantown, WV; her grandchildren Lori Elizabeth Dingess of Logan, WV, Abbagail Watkins of Sissonville, WV, Timothy Andrew Browning of Fort Carson, Colorado now stationed in Iraq, and Joshua Caleb Browning of Weaver Street, Holden, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday February 27, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M at 5&6 Holden Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Wednesday February 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M at 5&6 Holden Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Light and Rev. John R. Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Condolences may be sent to www.jamesfh.com. James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of the arrangements.
