Lula Belle Hager 74 of Lyburn passed away Thursday February 3, 2011 at home after a long illness. She was born March 18, 1936 at Logan the daughter of the late Orville and Lenora Buchannon Browning. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 23 years Edward Wesley Hager and one sister Edith Browning Merritt. Belle was a homemaker and a born again Christian. She was a member of the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church.
Those left to cherishe her memory are one son David (Lynn) Vance of Lyburn and three daughters Cathy (Ray) Cline of Lyburn, Madonna (Robbie) Petty of Durham, N.C. and Christy (Scott) Wilson of Lyburn. Six grandchildren Missy, Jessica, Michelle, Dave, Courtney and Jacob. Two great grandchildren Jordan and Madisyn along with a special sister Naomi Browning of Ashland, Ky., two brothers Blackie Browning and Earl (Sue) Browning both of Lyburn. The family would like to send special thanks to the 3rd floor, 5th floor, E.R., and respitory department of Logan Regional Medical Center, Dignity Hospice and Dr. Radha, Dr. Satish and Dr. Waris. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday February 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Family Cemetery on Madison Creek Road at Lyburn. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at James Funeral Home.
