Macie Pearl Brewster

Macie P. Brewster, 97, of Lake, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 16, 2014. Born December 28, 1916 at Holden, she was the daughter of the late Warren Holbert and Josephine Gilbert Fox. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mason Brewster. Those left to cherish her memory are her seven children: Richard Brewster, Pat Cooper, Jerry Brewster, and Lea Craig, all of Ohio, Judy Nightingale of Lake, John Brewster of Texas, and Terra Hager of Lake; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; three special friends: Mary Williams, Peggy Woolum, and Jane Trammell; and a host of other dear family and friends. She was a loving and devout Christian woman and a member of the Micco Jesus Church. A celebration of life will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Micco Jesus Church at Micco. A graveside service will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Godby. Macie will be carried to rest by her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Williams and Gibson Ellis. Visitation will be at the church from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 with a special service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her beloved church.
