Madelene Hanshaw

Madalene Hanshaw, 89, of Ethel, passed away Nov. 2nd at Trinity Healthcare Services surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Varner and Marshall Thompson. Her husband, Robert L. Hanshaw. Her children, Larry Hanshaw, Benny Hanshaw, Ronnie Hanshaw Sr, Brenda E. Hanshaw, and Rodney Hanshaw. Her sisters, Mary Smith, Edith Sands, Freda Adkins, and Frances Triplet. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Marshall (Roberta) Hanshaw, Randy (Janie) Hanshaw, and Ronnie Hanshaw Jr, all of Peach Creek. Johnny (Vickie) Hanshaw of Clothier, her daughter, Brenda McCoy of Rita. 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 11 great- great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity for all the wonderful care they gave Madalene during her stay there. Services will be held at Akers-James Funeral Home on Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be at 12 a.m until time of services Sunday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
