Mary Alice Faulkner

Mary “Koochie” Keener Faulkner 66 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana formerly of Mudfork, West Virginia went to be with The Lord and entered eternal rest on Jan 15th 2023. 

She was born on March 22nd 1956 to Ernest Harold “Red” and Margaret Evans Keener in Logan, West Virginia. 

She married Bobby “Porky” Collins on August 9th 1977 and they had three children Jeffery Collins (1978), Jeremy Collins (1980), and BreAnna Collins (1987). 

She worked as a homemaker and an avid day care provider for over two decades. She helped raise many children whom she considered “her” babies. She was their special Nan/Mammie. She loved each and every single one of them with her whole heart. They were her entire world. 

She was very passionate about church, reading, gardening, cooking for family and friends, Diet Pepsi, and Reese cups. She never met a stranger and you never left her house hungry. 

Mary is survived by her husband Kim Faulkner (Fort Wayne, Indiana), Children: Jeffery Collins (Mudork, WV), Jeremy Collins (Mudfork, WV), and BreAnna Collins (Chapmanville, WV), Siblings: Betty Jackson (Duncan Fork, WV), Teresa (Larry) Bryant (Mudfork, WV), Tammy (David) Long (Crooked Creek, WV), and Haroldene Keener (Hamlin, WV). A very special great niece Talan Gibson and a huge host of family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by parents Ernest Harold “Red” and Margaret Evans Keener, first husband Bobby “Porky” Collins, brother in-law Oliver Jackson, and great nephew Jaran Goff.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Verdunville Church of God with Pastor Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn CemeteryTrey at Pecks Mill. Friend may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, January 19 also at the church.  

Pallbearers: Jorden Goff, Ben Collins, Gabe Collins, Tanner Mullins, and Vinson Maynard.
