Mary E. Marcum

Mary E. Marcum 86 of Dingess gained her heavenly wings February 20, 2025.\

She was born May 4, 1938, to the late Harden and Nettie Messer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Haskel Marcum; sister, Pauline Workman; and brother, Paul Messer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Toma (Crystal) Marcum, Deborah (Dennis) Workman, Dwayne Marcum, Billy (Connie Francis) Marcum, and Connie Watts; grandchildren, Jason Watts, Samitha Morgan, Dennis Lee Workman, Lance Marcum, Aaron Marcum, and Toma Shane Marcum; great-grandchildren, Megan Collins, Alex Watts, Mathew Watts, Haley Watts, Levi Watts, Silas Morgan, Layla Marcum, Noah Spann, and Naveah Marcum; sisters, Clara Vannatter, and Anna Conway; brothers, Charles Messer, Richard Messer, and Ernest Messer. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maynard Family Cemetery at Breeden. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
