Mary J. Samson

Mary J. Samson, 89 of Logan departed this life Tuesday September 6 at Logan Regional Medical Center. She was born November 10, 1926 in Willard, KY to the late Bert and Captola Adams Rucker. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tennis Samson. Mrs. Samson was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene. Those left to cherish her memory include: her sons, Doug (Joyce) Samson and John (Mary Jane) Samson; daughter, Karen Samson; grandchildren, Mark Samson, Kristen (Billy) Switzer, Gunther (Dana) Greimel, Jason (Deborah) Greimel, Kelly Samson, Preston (Brittany) Samson, and Nathaniel Samson; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister-in-law, Irene Rucker; niece, Betty Elmore. She is also survived by her caregivers: Sherry Harrison, Tammy Wiley, Brenda Adkins, Jean Booth, Karen Stover, and Lisa Botsch. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday September 9 at the Logan Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Larry Cale officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
