Matthew "Butch" Marcum

Matthew “Butch” Marcum, 57 of Verdunville departed this life Saturday November 10, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a battle with heart disease. He was born December 14, 1960 at Logan to Iretta Marcum and the late Rev. A.W. “Buddy” Marcum. In addition to his mother those left to cherish his memory include: the love of his life Darlene Farley; daughter, Amy Browning; sons, Anthony and Timmy Marcum; 4 sisters, Sue Bryant, Shirley Nelson, Judy (David) Morris, and Tina (Jerry) Robinette. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday November 14, 2018 at the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Tomblin, David McCloud, and Pastor Junior Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery at Hoover. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday November 13, 2018 also at the church.
