Michael Ray Ferrell

Michael Ray Ferrell, born October 3, 1949, left this world for a better place March 3, 2020. He is preceded in death by his mother Gladys Justice Ferrell and father Joe D. Ferrell. He is survived by his wife Nancy Ferrell, daughter Jenna (Owen) Wells, son Joseph Riffe and his two grandchildren Daphne (Sassy) and Olive (Oscar) Wells, whom he loved dearly. Among the many left mourning his loss are his brother Joe C. (Vicki) Ferrell, his three nieces Mitzi Ferrell Brammer, Jodi Ferrell, and Cyndi Ferrell; grandniece and nephew Heidi and Josef Brammer; John David Brammer; and Darla Browning. Michael also loved his relatives, friends, and work family, with whom he spent many happy years. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 also at the funeral home.
