Michael Brian Robinson, 58, of Chapmanville, WV, passed from this life into the arms of his Lord and Savior on March 27, 2025, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 22, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Leon and Pat Robinson.
Michael was known for his towering presence, remarkable strength, and generous spirit. He spent many years coaching football, leading championship and all-star teams, and shaping the lives of countless young athletes both on and off the field. He had a deep appreciation for history and loved collecting antiques. He was always up for a long conversation—especially on the phone—and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his three sons: Ty Robinson, Josh Robinson, and Jake Robinson; his loving partner, Cindy Egnor; his sister, Tammy Donahue; and his half-siblings, Joe Johnston, Msizz Carifa, and Jodi Motszko. He is also survived by his daughters-in-law: Alandra Robinson, Ally Robinson, and Erica Robinson; and by his cherished grandchildren: Rae, Jackson, Brielle, Amelia, Sylvie, Elijah, and Noah.
He is lovingly remembered as well by Cindy’s daughter, Mackenzie Moran, and her two daughters, Rylee and Julia, all of whom he embraced as his own. In addition, he leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Michael will be remembered for his strength, his laughter, and his unwavering love for his family. Above all, he will be remembered as a man who trusted in Christ. Though we mourn his absence, we do so with hope, knowing that he is at rest in the presence of the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Akers-James Funeral Home with his son’s Pastor Josh Robinson and Minister Jacob Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Low Gap. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
