Mildred (Nannie) Hunt, 82, of Crooked Creek went to be with the lord in the morning hours of Monday, January 19, 2009 with her family by her side at LRMC following an extended illness. - She was born September 16th, 1926 at Mare Creek in Floyd County, Ky, a daughter of the late Lee Walter (Doc) and Virgie Harmon. - Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker, and she was also a member of the Peach Creek Freewill Baptist Church . - In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Moses (Papaw) Hunt; one sister, Georgia Boyd of Frankfurt , Ky. - Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dean and Alice Hunt, and Donald Hunt, all of Crooked Creek; one brother, Hydric Harmon of Winchester, Ky; One granddaughter, Rachel Hunt of Crooked Creek; two grandsons and their wives, Greg and Ranelle Hunt, and Tommy and Kandy Hunt all of Crooked Creek; four great-grandchildren, Marty Miller of Chapmanville, Sasha Hunt of Crooked Creek, Joshua Hunt of Kermit, and Kayla Ferrell of Crooked Creek; One great-great granddaughter, Mandy Miller, of Chapmanville, She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews, friends, and neighbors. - Visitation will be conducted from 6 to 9 p.m. for everyone on Wednesday, January 21st, 2009. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 at James Funeral Home in Aracoma with the Rev. Johnny Faine, and Rev. Martin Miller. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby Heights . Condolences may be left at www.jamesfh.com. - Pallbearers include Bernie Thompson, Derrick Workman, David Mullins, Billy Gunnells, James Lackey, and Michael Fortuna. - James Funeral Home at Aracoma is in charge of all the arrangements
