Myrtle Jane Eden, 91, of Verdunville, WV, went to be with our Lord, on Monday, July 16th, 2018.
She was born March 24, 1927, at Verdunville, WV. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Thompson, husband, Claude Eden, a daughter, Nina Eden Barbery, sisters Lula (Tom) Dudding, Ethel (Don) Workman, and brother, Buford (Corda) Morris, Junior.
She was a loving home-maker for her family, after having worked at the old GC Murphy store in Logan in her younger years.
After raising a family of her own, she was a caregiver in Logan for various families. She was also a volunteer for The Logan General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Verdunville Church of God.
Myrtle enjoyed Gospel music, singing, and playing the piano. Her greatest joy, though, was spending time with her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Eden Siegel, son-in-laws, Scott Alan Siegel and Louis Barbery, grandson, Keith (Kathryn) Campbell, and three great- grandchildren, Amy, Julie, and Keith Allen Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday July 19, 2018 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Hartwell officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
Pallbearers will be Delbert and Wesley Fields.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday also at the funeral home.
