Nancy Gladys âPreciousâ Noe, 78 of Logan, WV left her earthly life January 5, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center after a long illness. Precious was born March 9, 1941 at home at Dehue, WV to the late Charlie âJockoâ Flemings and Luna (St. Clair) Flemings. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Paul Noe; sisters, Sandra-Kay Flemings and Reba Donahue; and brother, Ray Buck Flemings.
Precious was a coal minerâs daughter, who grew to marry the love of her life, and later have a family. Precious was a homemaker, that loved her family deeply. She spent her days enjoying company and sharing memories with her loved ones. Precious was a lover of old folk music, gospel, singing, and dancing. She loved gathering with family and friends, celebrating. She took pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of the biggest joys in her life was raising her granddaughter, Heather. She often spoke of how she cherished those years and loved being a grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Paul Marvin âTooterâ Noe and Ramon Lee (April) Noe of Logan, WV; 4 grandchildren, Heather (Dallas) Canterbury, Brittney, Bridgett, and Ramon âDooneyâ Noe of Logan, WV; 12 great-grandchildren, DJ, Taylor, and Kayden Canterbury of Lenore, WV, Chelcei Burgess, John Sheppard, Justin, Alex, Jacob, Heavenly Grace, Mason, Jase, and Elijah Noe of Logan, WV; 2 sisters, Pansy Adkins and Jean (Raymond) Conley; 2 brothers, Harley and Bill Flemings; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and special friend and sister-in-law, Dot Phillips.
The family would like to thank friends and neighbors who visited and helped Nancy during her sickness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Hawkins of Orville Holiness Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Flemings Cemetery at Dehue, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
