Naomi Marie Parsons Manley

Marie Parsons Manley, 81, of Holden went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2007 at CAMC Memorial after a surgical complication. She was born July 5, 1926 at Thurmond, W.V a daughter to the late Frank and Verna Dempsey Coffman. Preceding her in death was her husband, Ralph (John) Parsons. Two sisters; Lena Sabitinis and Lillian Gilland. Six brothers; Tom, Alfred, Charlie, Ernie, Mac, Clifford and Nick Coffman. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Herbert Manley. Her sister, Frances (Bill) Mullens of Ravenswood. One son, Ralph (Patsy) Parsons of Six Mile. Five daughters; Mary (Earthel) Workman of Beckley, Louise (Daniel) Addison of Holden, Karen Maynard of Mt. Airy, N.C., Sandra (James) Podunavac of Verdunville and Brenda (Jim) Guthery of Clay City, Kentucky. Seventeen grandchildren; Sean Workman of Harrisburg, N.C., David (Shannon) Parsons of Six Mile, Rebecca (Jamie) Taylor of Clendenin, Lisa (Jim) Boggess of Poca, Jonathan Parsons of South Charleston, Lora (Adam) Stotts of Cross Lanes, Gina (Mason) Glen of Holden, James (Shelly) Parker of Man, Kaci Addison of Holden, Vicky (Jimmy) Lakatos of Whitman, James (Dianne) Collins of Holden, Bethany Watson of Mt. Airy, N.C., Mary Elizabeth Podunavac of Verdunville, James (Ashley) Podunavac of Garretts Fork, Laccie (Andy) Johnson of Alexandria, VA., Tara Podunavac of Verdunville and Jeffrey Cassady of Winchester, KY. Twelve great-grandchildren; Heather, Tyler, Gia and Parker Glen, Cory and Alexander Lakatos, Holly, Alexis and Jamie Lynn Parker, Emma Grace Parsons, Conner Boggess and Ethan Stotts. Visistation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of God in the Name of Jesus Christ with Rev. Treaby Scaggs Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be James Collins II, James Parker, Sean Workman, David and Jonathan Parsons, James Podunavac and Jeffrey Cassady.
