Nellie Leah Truax 76 of Wilkinson departed this life Sunday February 24, 2008 at Logan Regional Medical Center to be with the Lord after a long illness. She was born February 16, 1932 in Logan. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Pearle Barker. Raissed by her loving Uncle and Aunt William and Bessie Calloway of Neighhbert. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by five brothers; Johnny Barker, Roy Barker, Earl Calloway, Clyde Calloway and Clifford Calloway and three sisters: Rosie Gibson, Geneva and Hana. She has Two Brothers living: Carl (Helen) Calloway of Indiana and William (Alma) Calloway of Fairdale, WV. and a sister: Ella McGuire of Monaville. She will be sadly missed by her loving companion Elwood Carver of Wilkinson, her Three Daughters: Patty Cox (Keith) of Indiana, Kay Summerlin of North Carolina and Shelly Farmer of West Logan. She has several nieces and nephews, also 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren and a long time friend of many years Irma Judy Ellis of King Shoals she loved dearly. She has been unable to attend church due to her health for a long time. She was a member of the Monahill Memorial Freewill Baptist Church Andy Maynard was her Pastor and friend. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday February 27, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Andy Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M. Tuesday February 26, 2008 at James Funeral Home. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be sent to: www.jamesfh.com.
