Nickie Drehel

Nickie Drehel, 76, of Danville passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007 in St. Francis Hospital in Charleston. He was born June 20, 1931 in Yolyn, WV to the late Frank and Vera Bodenko Drehel. Mr. Drehel was a Coal Miner and a Veteran of the U.S. Marines. Survivors include his son, Nickie (Sylvia) Drehel Jr. of Houston, TX. Two daughters, Pam (Buddy) Damron of Greenview and Donna Thompson of Six Mile. Four grandchildren; Randi Hudson, Brandi Frye, Kimberly Drehel and Frankie Scott. Three great-grandchildren; Alex Drehel, Nathan Hudson and Emalee Frye. Three brothers; Steve (Judy) Drehel, Jimmy (Phyllis) Drehel and Frankie Drehel Jr. all of Ohio. His sister, Annie Mangus of Florida and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2007 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home with Rev. Edsel Aleshire and Rev. Bobby Lane officiating. Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery at Wayne.
