Nora Jean Vannatter 71 of Shamrock passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Arbor Nursing Home in Gallipolis, Ohio after a long illness. She was born November 23, 1936 in Logan County a daughter of the late Charles W. and Lou Cindia Evans Vannatter. She previously worked for C & P Telephone Company, Nick's Restaurant, Coney Island, Justice Motel and Briarwood Inn. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by six sisters: Clara B. McCoy, Doris L. McKnight, Eunice M. Dempsey, Pearl Thomas, Helen L. Vannatter, Mary A. Vannatter and one brother: Charles W. Vannatter, Jr. Survivors include One Daughter: Susan Lane (Randy0 Thomas of Henlawson, One Sister: B. Susie (Emory) Ross ofn Shamrock, Three Brothers: Leslie (Martha) Vannatter of Chapmanville, Harry (Brenda) Vannatter of Shamrock and Donald Vannatter of Verdunville, Two Grandchildren: Gary Lee (Clara) McNeely of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Gregory Jordan McNeely of Henlawson a very special great nephew Andrew Blake Workman of Shamrock and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday June 19, 2008 at James Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home with Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Preece Cemetery ay Myrtle in Mingo County. Pallbearers will be G. Jordan McNeely, Gary Lee McNeely, Emory R.
