Pamela (Nina) Jean Burgess

Pamela “Nina” Jean Burgess, 54, was born December 26, 1965 to the late Sherman and Juanita Canterbury. Pam departed this life world on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. She worked for the Logan DHHR for the past 4 years, where she made some very special friends. Pam loved spending time with her family and watching movies. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 37 years, Ermel “Ernie” Burgess Jr.; brother, Sherman Canterbury Jr.; sisters, Rita Jarrell and Henrietta Evans. She is also survived by a host of family and friends that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home. Honoring her wishes her remains are to be cremated following the services. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service, Sunday at the funeral home. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governor’s guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the building. Face coverings are also required when inside the building and social distancing should be taken into consideration.
