Pamela Spears, 59 of West Logan departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born April 21, 1961 at Cherry Point, NC to the Kenneth âWhizâ and Janice (Jarrell) Chafin. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Keith Chafin, and nephew, James Chafin.
Pam enjoyed spending time with her family, being the âscanner queenâ with Vickie, watching Judge Judy, and watching/feeding her squirrels, birds, and Lucky the turtle.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Jimmy Spears; children, Katrina (Joe) Chafin, Doug (Kim) Chapman, Tabitha (Whitney) Spears, Scottie (Heather) Spears, Steven (Stacy) Spears, Marsha (Jeremy) Fleming, and Jimmy Spears; grandchildren, Kirsten âSugar Bearâ Chafin, Austin Chapman, Timothy âChubsâ Lawrence, Aâlara âMoo Mooâ Spears, Gionna Chapman, Taylor Partlo, Katelyn Chapman, Trinity Spears, Jeremy âJay Jayâ Fleming, Tanner Spears, Aubrey âMonkeyâ Spears, Malaya Fleming, Steven âJrâ Spears, and Tucker Spears; sister, Kim (Chris) Smoot; brother, Dennis Chafin; nieces and nephews, Danielle (Kevin) Brown, Halie (Josh) Hall, Kenneth (Chasity) Abbott, Karen Barnhardt, Kenneth Chafin, Janice Chafin, and Cassie Chafin; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She is also survived by special friends who were like family, Bonnie Blevins, Vickie Pennington, and Brenda Horvath.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pikeville Medical Center for the amazing comfort and care they gave her and the family during her final days. A very special thank you to her husband and granddaughter, Kirsten, for everything the did for her throughout her illness. Also, thank you to everyone that called, messaged, and prayed for her.
Per Pamâs request she will be cremated and there will be no services.
