Pansy (Flemings) Adkins, 77 Of Holden, WV, Formally of Dehue, WV went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ On Wednesday August 12, 2020 after a short-term illness at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Pansy was born July 15, 1943 to the Late Charles âJockoâ Flemings & the Late Luna St. Clair Flemings. Pansy was a home maker, a mother, a grandmother, great grandmother, a devoted Christian, and a loving friend to many. Pansy spent her early years working and providing for her family & serving others. She enjoyed traveling, time with her family, singing, playing her guitar, tending to her plants, and cherished moments with her great granddaughters. If she were described in one word it would be LOVE.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sisterâs Sandra Kay Flemings, Reba Donahue, & Nancy Presh Noe & one brother Roy Buck Flemings.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter in law Eddie and Dianna Adkins of Ethel, WV. Her Grandson Travis (Harley) Adkins of Pecks-mill, WV. Her granddaughter Kayla (Donald) Jemerison of Holden, WV. 3 great granddaughters who she loved and cherished deeply Lilly, Avery, & Charlotte Adkins. One Sister Jean (Raymond) Conley, & two brothers Bill and Harley Flemings,
A host of nieces and nephews, a special cousin Rebecca Bailey Hopkins, & 3 special friends Dorothy Dot Phillips, Marcheita Hawkins, & Gay Farmer.
Pansyâs favorite bible verse was Psalms 30:5 âweeping May endure for a night but joy comes in the morningâ. Her family would like to acknowledge that her joy has finally came! As she is now free and healed in heaven!
Pallbearers will be her grandson Travis & a host of nephews
Services will be held at Akers- James Funeral Home of Aracoma, WV Tuesday August 18th at 1pm. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm with Pastor Walter Hawkins And Brother Robbie Hawkins of Orville Church officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family asks that in leu of flowers that donations can be sent to Akers-James Funeral Home.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the Governorâs guidelines for large gatherings only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at one time. Please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the building. Face coverings are also required when inside the building and social distancing should be taken into consideration.
