Mr. Pete Toth, 95, of Holden, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Trinity HealthCare Center. He was born August 1, 1913 at Holden, the son of the late Wendell and Mary Toth. Mr. Toth was a coal miner and a supportive member of the UMWA, District17. Mr. Toth gave his life to the Lord in December 2008.
Mr. Toth was preceded in death by his three brothers Frank Toth, Steve Toth, and Johnny Toth and his two sisters Mary Cummins and Rose Ladoto.
Mr. Toth is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Cledith Toth of Holden, WV; his daughter, Terri Toth of Holden, WV, with whom he made his home; Mildred McCloud of Verdunville, WV; and one son Paul (Carolyn) Toth of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren, Karrie (Johnny) Spears of Holden, WV; Tony (Deena Huffman) Toth of Whitman, WV, of whom he helped raise and loved like his own children; Eddie (Jenny) Toth of Dayton, OH; John W. McCloud of Corinth, TX; Misty McCloud of Supply, NC; Teresa (Raymond) Williamson of Verdunville, WV; five great-grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jordan Spears of Holden, WV; Kayley and Sarah Toth, of Dayton, OH; and Brayden Williamson of Verdunville, WV; and one sister, Julia Adams of New Jersey. He is also survived by two nephews, Johnny (Jenny) Tothe of Holden, WV and Larry (Rose) Ladoto of Madison, WV; and a very special friend, Tim Hoover of Holden, WV, whom he loved like a son.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 2 p.m., at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery at Chapmanville, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Tony Toth, Johnny Spears, Jeremiah Spears, Paul Toth, Eddie Toth and Mike Tothe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Rankin, Leonard Allen, Billy Marcum, David Evans and Kanawha Holbrook.
