Philip Baisden, 83 of Dingess, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 10th, 1941, to the late Jay Baisden and Gladys (Laymon) Deskins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy May; son-in-law, James Meade ,and his infant brother, Larry Dale Deskins.
Philip faithfully attended the Neely Branch United Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He loved to garden, hunt, fish, and most of all his family. He worked as an Electrician at Marrowbone Development for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Bryant) Baisden; children, Sherry (Mark) Porter, William Baisden, and Susie Meade; grandchildren, Alexander Philip Baisden, Kyle Porter, and Garrett (Sheena) Meade; brothers, Quincy (Sadie) Deskins, Thomas (Phyllis) Deskins, Dwight (Kay) Deskins, and Bill Deskins; sister, Teresa (Dwight) Hannah, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Cornerstone Christian Center at Dingess with Revs. Russell Ball & Michael Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 also at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
