Polly Balentine

Polly M. Balentine, 77 of Micco, WV departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday July 10, 2016 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born November 18, 1938 in Mingo Co. to the late James and Tennessee Bowe of Rossmore, WV. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, James Bowe. Polly was a homemaker as well as assisting her husband with multiple businesses. She attended Switzer Church of God and Sarah Ann Church of God. Polly loved taking care of her family and spending time with them. She also loved going to church, singing, and praising God. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Paul H. Balentine; four children, Rickey and Linda Bradley of Micco, Billy Bradley of Cow Creek, Paul Balentine of Micco, Paula Balentine of Stirrat, WV; brother, Robert Bowe of Caney Branch; sister, Ann Stapleton of Whitman; six grandchildren, Rickey Bradley of Whitman, Paige Hobbs of Monaville, Polly Hobbs of Stirrat, Shelby Balentine of Micco, Randalin Balentine of Micco, Marlee Walden of Switzer; 3 great-grandchildren, Allison and Kylie Bradley of Whitman, and Carter Duncan of Monaville. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday July 14, 2016 at the Sarah Ann Church of God with Rev. Gary Starr officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6 – 10 p.m. Wednesday also at the church.
