Randall D. Adams, 68 of Crooked Creek went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born February 2, 1950 in Logan, WV the son of the late Solomon and Charlotte Adams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Dee and Vivian Hall, one brother Robin Adams, three sisters Melodee Brewster, Lisa Adkins and Merry Blankenship.
Randall was a veteran of the United States Army. He also was a Deacon of the Crooked Creek Church of Christ and he loved to visit with members of the community.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years Rosemary Adams, two daughters Billie Jean (Chris) Ray of Johnson City, TN and Robin Hayes of Lexington, KY. Granddaughter Nicole (Larry) Brown of Davin, grandsons Ricky, Robbie and Doug of Lexington, KY. One sister Abigail (Gary) Shahan and six brothers, Terry (Debbie) Adams, Bryan (Cindy) Adams of Crooked Creek, Holly (Trina) Adams of Whitman, Jeff (Judy) Adams of Monaville, Donnie Waugh of SC and Frank Waugh of McConnell. Two very special nieces Morgan (Brett) Vernatter and Alison Adkins both of Crooked Creek along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Crooked Creek Church of Christ with the Pastor Ralph Perry and Tom Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitman Family Cemetery at Crooked Creek with Military Graveside Rites. Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday also at the Church. Pallbearers will be Brett Vernatter, Ethan Williamson, Rudy Elkins, Gary Shahan, David Adams and Michael Jeffery. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary (360) McGuire, Bob Miller, Terry, Bryan, Holly and Jeff Adams.
The family would like to thank the Staff of Pikeville Medical Center for the super care, especially to Lucie and Bryan.
