Ray Harvey, 76 of Delbarton departed this life Saturday January 21 at CAMC Memorial in Charleston.
He was born June 28, 1940 to the late Arthur and Mildred Harvey. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by: his brother, Eddie Harvey.
Ray was a self-employed auto body specialist in the Logan area for more than 50 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, riding horses, going to car shows, and trips to Tennessee. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He will leave behind his beloved wife Ruby Harvey of Delbarton; his daughter, Debra Harvey of Delbarton; sons Darrell Dempsey of Dingess, Danny Harvey of Chapmanville, and Stevie Harvey of Chapmanville; grandson, DJ Harvey of Dingess; and his grand puppy, Buster of Delbarton; brothers, Arthur (Mabel) Harvey of St. Albans, and Larry (Val) Harvey of Redding, CA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Services will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday January 26 at Akers-James Funeral Home in Logan. Burial will follow in the Ooten Cemetery at Duncan Fork.
