Rebecca Hampton

Rebecca Hampton 87 of Verdunville passed away Monday September 6, 2010 at Trinity Healthcare Services in Williamson. She was born August 3, 1923 at East Fork of Twelve Pole. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizah Vance Marcum. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Hampton in 1996, three daughters Audrey Hampton, Mini Pearl Lawson and Belva Baker and three sons James Hampton, Jackson Lee "Butch" Hampton and Don Hampton. Survivors include four sons Ivan Ha,pton of California, Bud and Anna Hampton of Baltimore, Maryland, Meake and Barb of Cleveland, Ohio and Freddy and Patty Hampton of Rum Creek, two daughters Judy Hampton of Seattle, Washington and Helen Sue Hampton and Close Friend and Companion Lonnie Payne, two close grandsons Ivan Payne and Anthony Payne, 22 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday September 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the residence of Rebecca Hampton with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Frye Cemetery at Verdunville. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Wednesday September 8, 2010 at the residence of Rebecca Hampton.
