Rebecca (Becca) Jane Watkins

Rebecca “Becca” Jane Watkins, 43, of Logan, West Virginia gained her heavenly wings on April 10, 2020 after a brief illness. Rebecca was the daughter of Gertrude Watkins and the late William Watkins, Sr., of Stollings. Becca was born on June 8, 1976. Rebecca was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Watkins and Beverly Watkins, nephew, Kyle Scott Fields, maternal grandparents, Arizona Sutherland and Lewis Vance, and paternal grandparents, Ruby and John Watkins. Becca was an avid animal lover. She would take in any stray she came across. She was a loving mother to her boys. Rebecca loved to be with her family as much as she could. She enjoyed making people laugh and had such an infectious smile. All that knew her loved her. Rebecca was one of a kind. Along with her mother, those left to cherish her memory are her partner for 22 years, Ron Dawson, sons, Ron Hunter, Zakkary Gauge, and William Alexander, sisters, Della(Johnny) Brumfield, Phyllis Watkins, Loretta Watkins, Cristy Watkins, Gwen(Jack) Blevins, Rhonda(Keith) Gibson, Sandy(Larry) Davis, and Deb Watkins, and brothers, Will(Crystal) Watkins, Johnny Watkins, Jimmy(Carla) Watkins, Billy Watkins, and Mickey(Cindy) Watkins, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her furbaby, Chief. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Pastor John Godby officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Please note that due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the CDC’s guidelines on large gatherings only 10 people will be allowed in the facility at a time. If you plan on attending, please plan your visit accordingly as you may be asked to wait before entering the facility. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
