Rhoda Ann Tomblin, 80 of Dingess, WV gained her wings January 9, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.
Rhoda was born May 15, 1940 at Holden, WV to the late Nim and Sadie Workman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Tomblin; stepmother, Lucile Workman; sister, Cassie (Workman) Marcum; brothers, Charles Smith, Doug Workman, and James âSidâ Workman; very special daughter-in-law, Donna Lee Tomblin; and special great-grandson, Sullivan Tomblin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles Dwayne Workman of Dingess, WV, Phillip (Melodee) Tomblin of Fredericktown, OH, William âBillâ Tomblin of Dingess, WV, Princess (Donnie) Church of Verdunville, WV, Irene (Darrell) Maynard of Lenore, WV, and Shannon (Crystal) Workman of Chapmanville, WV; grandchildren, Josh Workman of FL, Joseph (Amanda) Miller of Marengo, OH, Tasha (Chris) Zornes of Fredericktown, OH, Amanda (George) Ball of Dingess, WV, William (Katie) Tomblin of KY, Franky (Brittany) Church of Dingess, WV, Kayla (Stefon) Barber of Ovideo, FL, Lacey (Dan) Castle of Logan, WV, Kristina (Zack) Sada of Charleston, WV, and Max Workman of Chapmanville, WV; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Houser, Bobby Sue Canterbury, Lilly Blaylock, Donna Carter, and Diana Egnor; brother, Richard Workman, and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Akers-James Funeral Home with Rev. Sid Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Sturgill Cemetery at Laurel Creek. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday, at the funeral home.
