Rissie Rebekah Runyon

Rissie Rebekah Runyon, 84 of Wilkinson went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 21, 2024, peacefully with loved ones by her side.

She was born February 15, 1940, at Henlawson to the late Noel and Maude Seldomridge. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Ivan “Butch” Runyon; her daughter, Vicky Runyon; brothers, Roy, Milton, and Eugene.

Rissie was a homemaker. She was very dedicated to her daughter, Vicky, and the Specal Olympics.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dwain Runyon of Justice Addition; daughter, Heather (David) Woolsey of Monaville; grandsons, Tyler (Beth) Woolsey of Mitchell Heights, and Dylan Woolsey of Grove City, PA; granddaughter, Allie Woolsey (Dustin) of Marmet; great-grandchildren, Elin, Parker, Maddie, and 1 more that is on the way.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Donel C. Kinard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery. Following the services she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Butch.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Special Olympics in her name. A special thank you to Carla Ramey, her family, and to Dignity Hospice for their care.
