Robert (Bob) Eugene Maynard

Robert Eugene (Bob) Maynard Sr., 77, of Logan, WV, passed this earthly life on Monday, September 27, 2021. He was born August 26, 1944, in Martin County, KY, to the late Calahan and Gwendolyn Maynard. He spent a large portion of his life in Logan County and was a member of the Yuma congregation of the Church of Christ. Bob held several jobs over the course of his lifetime and proudly completed his employment history by retiring from the coal mining industry in 2002. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ann Maynard, and two of their three children, John Floyd Maynard and Dorthea Louise Maynard. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Jane Maynard, one son Robert E. (Angela) Maynard II of Parkersburg, WV, one stepdaughter Natalie (Shawn) Browning of Rockwell, NC, and one stepson J.R. (Lauren) Blevins of Streetsboro, OH. Also surviving is, one grandson, Elijah John Maynard, and three step-grandchildren, Xavier and Nash Browning and Isabella Blevins. Additionally, Bob is survived by eight siblings. Dan (Peggy Sue) Maynard of Flatwoods, KY, Tom (Linda) Maynard of Dublin, OH, Anita Maynard of Columbus, OH, Calvin (Peggy L.) Maynard of Rush, KY, Sarah (Paul) Bailey of Seattle, WA, Della (Terry) Graham of Bean Station, TN, Calahan (Eva) Maynard Jr. of Sanford, NC and David (Hildina) Maynard of Hawkinsville, GA, and many nieces and nephews. Bob’s parting has left a large void in the lives of his friends and family. He will be sorely missed by those who loved and cared for him. His memory will be cherished forever. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. at the Yuma Church of Christ located in Yuma, WV.
